Virtually “Who Is Who” of contemporary jazz and popular music have graced Nišville stages – Candy Dulfer, Billy Cobham, Donald Byrd, Ron Carter, Josh Stone, Benny Golson, Solomon Burke, Tom Harrell, Randy Brecker, Al Foster, Georgie Fame, Jean Luc Ponty, Mingus Dynasty, Roy Hargrove, Stanley Jordan, The Blues Brothers, Osibisa, Ginger Baker, Monty Alexander, Incognito, Sly & Robbie, Kyle Eastwood, Brand New Heavies, Manu Dibango and many more.
“Earth & Sky Stage” is the largest stage, where the main program of the Nišville jazz festival takes place. It consists of two adjacent stages, situated in an open-air area within the picturesque Roman/Ottoman fortress. It has combined seating and standing capacity for around seven thousand people. This is the only venue of the Nišville where tickets are required. Numerous other music, film and theatrical stages, various exhibitions, promotions and events – also integral parts of Nišville – are traditionally free to the public. In that way the whole city of Niš lives and breathes for and with its favorte festival.
